How to sleep tight and keep your applications running in IPv6 transition. The importance of IPv6 Application Testing
Arturo Servin, LACNIC IPv4 has run out and we urge for IPv6 adoption and transition. The ball of IPv6 is running and many networks and applications are fully aware of the new protocol, however many other commercial and in-house software developments and applications may not run correctly. In this presentation we talk about the importance of software testing to guarantee a successful transition to IPv6 and to ensure that applications will run without problems. The presentation also show a methodology to test the compatibility of software with IPv6. This methodology is the result of merging Software Testing concepts and our IPv6 experience and it has help us to test our applications and to guarantee that they will work on IPv6. |
