Travel and accommodation



The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre is about 45 kilometres (28 miles) from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Official taxis are available on the arrival level. Passengers should buy a coupon at the official taxi counters before leaving the KLIA arrival gate. Fare should cost around RM90 to the city.

Public Transport

  1. Taxi Taxis in Kuala Lumpur run by meters, with fares starting from RM2.00; an additional RM1.00 is charged for phone bookings and a third adult passenger, and baggage is stored in the boot.
  2. Bus Several bus lines operate in the city; operating hours are from 05.30 midnight; visitors can also board the KL Hop-on Hop-Off, which lets you discover the city by stopping at tourist hot spots such as Chinatown, the National Palace, and the National Art Gallery.
  3. Train Kuala Lumpur has several train services, all of which converge at KL Sentral.
  4. KTM Komuter Caters to commuters in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.
  5. Star LRT and Putra LRT Both stop at various convenience locations in Kuala Lumpur and neighbouring Petaling Jaya.
  6. KL Monorail Is a short train service that runs within the city centre.
  7. Express Rail Link (ERL) Runs between the KLIA and KL Sentral on 28-minute rides that run every 15 minutes (during peak hours).
