Transportation
The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre is about 45 kilometres (28 miles) from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Official taxis are available on the arrival level. Passengers should buy a coupon at the official taxi counters before leaving the KLIA arrival gate. Fare should cost around RM90 to the city.
Public Transport
- Taxi – Taxis in Kuala Lumpur run by meters, with fares starting from RM2.00; an additional RM1.00 is charged for phone bookings and a third adult passenger, and baggage is stored in the boot.
- Bus – Several bus lines operate in the city; operating hours are from 05.30 – midnight; visitors can also board the KL Hop-on Hop-Off, which lets you discover the city by stopping at tourist hot spots such as Chinatown, the National Palace, and the National Art Gallery.
- Train – Kuala Lumpur has several train services, all of which converge at KL Sentral.
- KTM Komuter – Caters to commuters in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.
- Star LRT and Putra LRT – Both stop at various convenience locations in Kuala Lumpur and neighbouring Petaling Jaya.
- KL Monorail – Is a short train service that runs within the city centre.
- Express Rail Link (ERL) – Runs between the KLIA and KL Sentral on 28-minute rides that run every 15 minutes (during peak hours).
