Wireless LAN with High-Speed Internet Access

Bring Your Virtual Office to APRICOT 2002

Experience the freedom and convenience of having your "Office Anywhere" at APRICOT 2002. The APRICOT 2002 organizing committee and Cisco Systems is proud to provide visitors with Secure, High-speed Internet Access at the event once again.

Attendees who register for this program will benefit from Secure, High-speed Internet access from anywhere in the conference area without wires. A Local-Area-Network (LAN) will be set up with Cisco Wired and Wireless solutions. The Cisco Aironet 350 series Access Points are installed within the premises to facilitate Secure & Wireless Internet access from the conference hall, exhibitions booths and workshop rooms to cafeterias.

Participants will only need to loan and install a Cisco Aironet 350series client adapter on their notebooks or PDAs to access the Internet. If a Virtual Private Network (VPN) has been setup by the participant's company, they can also access their corporate networks (Intranet) remotely & securely at the conference.

THE PROGRAM

Upon registration, participants can loan a Cisco Aironet 350series Client Adapter (PCMCIA card) for use throughout the event by placing a refundable deposit of US$80 at the "Cisco Mobile Office" registration counter.

The refundable deposit shall be paid via participant's credit card. A copy of the charge details will be retained and when the PCMCIA card is returned at the end of the event, no charge will be processed on the credit card.

If the PCMCIA card is lost or not returned in its original condition, registrants will be charged US$80 on his/her credit card.

The program is limited to first 200 registered participants.


SPECIAL "TEST-DRIVE" PACKAGE

A special "test-drive" package is available for those interested to deploy Cisco Wireless LAN (WLAN) solutions at their offices. The "Test-Drive" package comprising a Cisco Aironet 350s Access Point & a Client Adapter is available for sale at a special price of US$900 (savings of US$598 off the usual list price).

HOW TO REGISTER

You can pre-register for this program when submitting the registration form. Upon successful registration, please proceed to the "Cisco Mobile Office" registration counter onsite to collect your Program Kit.

You may also register for the program or purchase the "Test-Drive" package at the "Cisco Mobile Office" registration counter onsite.
